Abbreviations

NAMES OF THE LOS ANGELES MUSEUM
The name of the museum has changed several times since its founding in 1913. In discussions of objects that entered the museum’s collections prior to 1965, it may be referred to simply as the Los Angeles Museum. Readers will, however, also encounter the following abbreviations:
